Feathered ryegrass – cultivation

Cultivation of feathered livebear is not a complicated task. The plant, however, belongs to the succulent family, so it has some specific requirements. In order for it to develop properly, it should be placed in a bright and warm place. In such a room, the temperature in winter should not fall below 15 degrees Celsius; in summer it should be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius. Feathered liverwort needs a lot of light. Its lack will make the plant stunted.

The requirements of the feathered livebug in terms of the quality of the substrate are not excessive. It can be grown both in universal soil and in soil intended for other succulents and cacti. The feathered liverwort, provided it has the right conditions for its development, multiplies quickly. The plant rarely gets sick. The main mistake of novice growers is to water it too abundantly and plant it in a poorly-drained substrate – this leads to rotting of the roots.

Viviparous juice – recipe

The washed and dried leaves should be put in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. It’s a good idea to wrap them in paper to provide them with a thin layer of protection. When they cool down, we can cut them into cubes and pour them into a bowl, jar or other glass vessel. In order to obtain the juice from the livebear, you should beat the leaves, e.g. with a wooden spoon. This will make a pulp with juice.

Once we have the first version of the juice of the living plant, let’s put it back in the fridge. However, this time it is enough to hide it for only 2-3 hours. After cooling, the drink will not be consumable yet due to the pulp contained in it. However, after separating it from, for example, the liquid, we will get pure viviparous juice. Some people eat it right away, others wait another week and during this time they keep the drink in a shaded place.

How to prepare a tincture of live life?

Viviparus tincture is a proven remedy for sore throats and hoarseness. To prepare the drink you will need spirit or 40% vodka, leaves and a stem of a livebread. The plant must first be finely chopped and then put in a jar. Pour it all over with spirit or vodka and close it tightly. The viviparous tincture should be kept in a dark room for 2 weeks. Then it is enough to strain it and pour it into a bottle.

Viviparus – ointment

We can buy the preparation at a pharmacy or make it ourselves. The purchase cost is from 20 to 30 PLN. The effectiveness of the ointment is due to the ingredients contained in the leaves of the plant, which include, among others phenolic acids, calcium, potassium, silicon, copper, manganese and zinc. Thanks to them, the preparation has a fungicidal and bactericidal effect. Viviparous ointment helps in the treatment of:

  1. hemorrhoids,
  2. selħiet tas-sodda,
  3. mycosis,
  4. psorjasi
  5. akne,
  6. seborrhea.

There are many recipes for the preparation of such an ointment. To prepare the next one, you will need:

  1. coconut oil,
  2. karite butter (about 25 grams)
  3. coconut butter (about 25 grams)
  4. viviparous (3 leaves).

If we don’t have karite and coconut butter at hand, we can use petroleum jelly and lard. The ointment prepared in this way will have no weaker healing properties. However, karite butter contains vitamins A, E and F, thanks to which we moisturize the skin a little better. In turn, cocoa butter does not cause allergies and can also be used by children, pregnant women and allergy sufferers.

Let’s start preparing the ointment from the living worms by chopping the leaves of the plant. Then put all the ingredients in a saucepan and dissolve. Then they will be extracted and after just a few minutes a green livebear ointment will be formed. At the end, it is enough to remove the thicker pieces of the plant and pour the ointment through a strainer into the scalded container. The preparation should be stored in the refrigerator for a few minutes to allow it to slightly harden.

To prepare your next viviparous ointment, you will need:

  1. livebear juice (about 40 ml),
  2. bacteriostatic drug (about 25 g),
  3. an anesthetic (about 25 g),
  4. lanolin (about 60 g).

Pour the ingredients into an enamel or ceramic pot and mix. It is inadvisable to cook them and stir them in a metal or aluminum pot. When preparing this type of viviparous ointment, let’s also take care of the proper preparation of the plant from which the juice will be produced. Metal knives should not be used for cutting; it is best to use a wooden spoon for kneading.

The properties of the live bait are so universal that you can also create a natural cosmetic from it. The cream can be stored in the refrigerator. It is worth preparing an amount that we will use up quickly, because the ointment deteriorates quickly. However, you can buy a ready-made Ointment from the living plant in a package containing 150 ml of the preparation. It is used 2-3 times a day.

To prepare the third recipe, this time for a nourishing mask, you will need:

  1. oatmeal (3-4 tablespoons),
  2. livebear juice (1-2 glasses),
  3. evening primrose oil (2 tablespoons).

The mask can be prepared in several minutes. First, pour water over the oatmeal. When they become swollen, we add to them the juice of the living plant and the evening primrose oil. It is worth remembering to mix everything thoroughly so that the mask has a better consistency. The viviparous mask evens out the skin tone and moisturizes it. The mask should be washed off after about 15-20 minutes.

You can also buy a ready-made Living Life Ointment for dry and normal skin, which is available on Medonet Market.

Liveflower – external use

The viviparous plant, sometimes called the viviparous plant, is a plant no less effective than many synthetic drugs. However, it is worth knowing the rules of its external use:

  1. headaches – the temples and forehead should be lubricated with juice, preferably in the morning. If we want the effect of the treatment to be faster, then we can additionally drink 20 drops of juice a day in the morning and evening. Some people prefer to eat only the leaves of the plant instead of the juice, after removing the membranes from them.
  2. wounds – in the case of burns, cuts, lacerations and any deep wounds, the affected area should be rinsed with the juice of livebear. The second way is to prepare a compress. In case of burns, wash the skin several times a day. The swab should be heavily saturated with the liquid.
  3. skin diseases – people suffering from acne should wash their face with the tincture of livebread in the morning and evening. If these wounds are difficult to heal, you can also reach for horse chestnut extract and drink 20 drops a day in the morning and evening. During the treatment of eczema, the affected area should be washed several times a day with the juice of feathery.
  4. Dandruff – Featherfish juice is an excellent remedy for dandruff. To get rid of the disease, rub the head with the liquid every two days. The same healing properties also have the viviparous tincture, which can also be rubbed on the head.

Viviparous juice is a universal remedy. You can also use it to treat rheumatic ailments. In this case, rub the liquid into the sore spot. Again, it will be advisable to eat the leaves of the plant additionally or to drink 20 drops of juice 3 times a day. A sore spot can also be rubbed with a viviparous tincture.

Meet the varieties of the viviparous plant

People interested in growing a livebear plant often ask the question: “Which one is the feathery one?” This is due to the fact that in Poland we can buy three types of it, namely Kalanchoe daigremontiana, Kalanchoe pinnata and Kalanchoe tubiflora. They differ in appearance, but have similar healing properties. It is worth getting to know a brief description of each of them.

  1. kalanchoe daigremontiana – its leaves resemble balls, they are delicate and have characteristic protrusions. The plant has thick and stiff shoots and in favorable climatic conditions it can reach up to 1,5 m in height. In the potted version, the daigremontiana viviparous plant reaches about 90 cm. Its thick and fleshy leaves, which are also its representative part, also have healing properties.
  2. kalanchoe pinnata – under this name is the eponymous pinnate plant. Unlike the Daigremontiana, it has no protrusions. It is this variety that is used in the production of natural cosmetics and medicines. It can reach up to 180 cm in height. Its dangling goblets are white and green in color.
  3. kalanchoe tubiflora – its Polish name is a narrow-leaved viviparous plant. It has characteristic narrow tubular leaves. Many people breed this species purely for ornamental purposes. However, in the tissues of Kalanchoe tubiflora, as in its “sisters”, there are also substances with anti-inflammatory, antifungal and bactericidal properties.

Contraindications to the use of juice and tincture of livebear

Both juices and tinctures of livebaits prepared at home are based on spirit. However, consumption of such drinks is not recommended for people with high levels of potassium in the body. For known reasons, juices containing alcohol should not be given to children to drink. Viviparous tincture can also harm pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding.

Consuming fluid from the feathered livebear is also not recommended for people taking medications, especially on a permanent basis. However, to be sure, a doctor should be consulted beforehand to determine whether the juice or tincture of the viviparous can harm the patient to some extent. Either way, the plant is a treasury of valuable vitamins and minerals, and apart from the above-mentioned cases, there are no contraindications to use it in various ways.
